Our annual student concert is the one evening of the year when the whole institute comes together. Adults who spend the rest of the year practising alone, or in a lesson with one teacher, step onto a stage and play for a room full of people.
For many of the performers it is the first time they have ever played in public. The concert is not a competition and there is no grading — every level is welcome, from students a few weeks into their first instrument to advanced amateurs. It is often said that performing live is the most valuable music lesson there is.
